Back2NY Event
Tuesday, August 4, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, Skirball Theater
The first Cognitive Computational Neuroscience conference was hosted at Columbia in 2017. In 2026, we are back in New York and hosting a special event to look back at the community that has grown, discuss the progress and challenges we have faced, and consider where we want to go in the future.
CCN has never been afraid of trying new things, so the main component of the Back2NY Event will be a crowd-sourced panel discussion. Instead of a typical panel where a small number of speakers dominate the conversation, we want to give the entire community a chance to voice their perspectives.
Whether you are a first-time attendee, someone who “grew up” with CCN, or a founding organizer, we want to hear from you. Please fill out our community survey, composed of a few “report card” style questions, long-form prompts to drive debate, and a place to share your personal CCN stories.
The survey includes an option to indicate that you would like to participate in the live debate discussion, based on your responses to the survey. PLUS, we have a set of exciting prizes that we will give to randomly selected winners.
